Make properties permanent by tweaking Read and Write permissions

Post by BrooksNYC »

Hello, all. Hope this finds you well!

I'm running PDF-XChange Editor 11.1.1.0 on Windows 10 Pro.

Am trying to change the Properties for a Comment and Markup tool so that the Properties for that tool become the new permanent default.

In File Explorer, I'm going to.....

C:\Program Files\PDF-XChange\PDF Editor

....and right-clicking PXCEditor.exe > Properties.

From the Security tab of the first screen that pops opens, I'm clicking the Edit button with admin privileges (red arrow):

The Edit button opens a second screen showing Group or user names and Permissions for ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES:

Is it possible to change the necessary Read and Write permissions from this window?

If so (and at your convenience, no rush) can you tell me:

1. Which Group or user names I need to mess with?

2. Which Permissions I need to allow for EACH of the above Groups?

Am hoping I can do whatever needs doing within the confines of this little window. Spelunking through Windows Registry will only lead to chaos and suicidal ideation. :D

As always, grateful for your help. Thanks!
