Edit text - Broken?

Post by David12846 »

Greetings,

The ability to edit text appears to have changed in Version 11.1.1 . For me, it appears to be broken or there's a new property I need to set.

PREVIOUSLY, when I select "Edit Text", I could edit text and the original text would be replaced.
CURRENTLY (Ver 11.1.1), when I select "Edit Text" and modify the text, the NEW text appears superimposed on or behind the original text.

I have attached 2 files (hopefully they're attached).
The first file is the Original that says "Members as of October 17, 2026".
The second file shows I changed the "17" to "23" but both numbers are appearing on top of each other.
The original file contained 30 names and addresses. I removed those for obvious reasons.

It seems your file have two "Members as of October 17, 2026" one on top of a second (in stack)

Ovg - Well I'll be  . I opened my Original file and I now see in the Content column the phrase I had in red is repeated twice. No wonder when I altered the 17 to read 23, the other red phrase was still there.

When I create a new list of members each month, I copy the text box from the previous month to the new pdf. I'll bet when I pasted to the new pdf, my CTRL+V bounced and it pasted twice.
