Grey background in display and print output

Good morning,

I have a problem with PDF-XChange Editor. Some PDF files appear with a grey background, both when displayed in the application and when printed.

I have attached two images: one showing a file opened in PDF-XChange Editor, where the grey shading is visible, and another showing the same file opened in a different PDF viewer, which displays the PDF correctly.

Hi,

Please verify the Override Document Colors option.

It should be turned OFF (= no check-mark),
- via the Help-ribbon > UI Theme, or
- via the File-menu > Preferences > Accessibility, or
- CTRL + SHIFT + 6

Does that help ?

If not, then please post a sample PDF (= while posting a reply, click "Attachments" > "Add Files")

Are you sure you tried Willy's advice? I was able to perfectly re-create your screenshot, by pushing Ctrl_Shift_6, as he suggested..

This is a toggle to turn color overrides on and off, please do push this combination while viewing the file.

Hi, I've tried many times to press the ctrl+shift+6 combo but nothing happens, I also tried from the interface theme menu but the problem persists.

Hi,

Most probably, the settings-file of PDF-XChange Editor has become damaged.

First, make a back-up of the current settings via the File-menu > Manage Settings > Export Settings.

After that, reset the current settings via the File-menu > Manage Settings > Reset Settings.
!! first only try with "Program Options" / "Common" boxes checked, un-check all the rest !!

Close and restart PDF-XChange Editor, and try again.

It doesn't work, tried and tried again but nothing changes, even the bread's crumb turns out gray. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but nothing changes

Strange... Maybe there is something wrong with the current color profile ?

I found the problem, it was the defective PC-monitor connection cable. I changed the cable and it works.
