I tend to use the Typewriter tool and would prefer that it be the default tool. Is it possible to set this preference?
Is it possible to keep the Typewriter tool active after using it? What I mean is: after using the Typewriter tool your program deselects it so I must re-click on it before using it again.
Is it possible to set the default tool?

Re: Is it possible to set the default tool?
Whatever tool you select remains the default tool if you select "Keep tool selected" on the Properties Toolbar (Control E), at least until you restart the program, then the hand tool is always the default — you cannot change that. "Keep tool selected" is a global setting — it applies to all tools as far as I can tell.
Each of the tools can be given its own shortcut — I use "t" for the Typewriter tool, and "Shift T" for the select text tool. Right-click on a toolbar to open the customise dialogue. From the commands tab you can set the shortcut for each tool from its Properties dialogue.

Thank you for replying! The Customize option is greyed out and I can't find a mode in which it is accessible. Please advise. Thanks, again.

If is grayed out then you probably have old version of the viewer - try download new one

PDF-XChange Viewer Pro, V2 (build 0037). "Check for Updates" says there are none available.

Thank you. I guess the Update checking feature is not working either. I'm downloading the latest version now.

Yes - the Live Update is not functional in Buold 39-RC2 - this is back in the final release of build 39.
We had hoped to release today - but we have one last vital issue to resolve - hopefully this will finally be ok for release on Thrusday 28th.
Apologies for the delay.
