Feature Request: A Favorites Menu
One thing I like a lot about PDF-XChange Viewer is that the recent files list is adjustable and it can contain a lot of files (I have set it to 200). Still, I open a lot of PDF documents during the day but ultimately return back to a limited number of them (usually books). I would like to be able to have easy access to these limited number of files rather than having to look for them among the long list of recently open documents. I think adding a simple "Favirotes" menu to allow quick and easy access to one's most used files would be a nice feature.

If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Re: Feature Request: A Favorites Menu
yes, the recent file list is adjustable with various features, but the whole program cannot do a simplest thing which almost any program that allows tabs does:
open the program with tabs from the last session
Also, I think it makes much more sense for the recent documents to be ordered in order they were closed, not opened. For example, imagine you open the document, there is no point for it to be in the recent document list, cause it's still open. Now imagine you have this document still open, and in the meantime you open/close another 10-20 documents. The file which is still open (probably the one you are still interested cause you left it open) is now buried in the list of other documents.

Ivan, please see how Jarte does this. It is the best method I have come across in any program.
Any open document can be:
1) Added to the list of favourite files, or removed from the list
2) Its source folder can be added to the list of favourite folders
3) It can be reopened on starting the program

In addition, the list can be cleared or organised to move favourite files or folders up or down the list.

Thanks -:
all noted - we will be adding a favourites list and saved sessions - but we are working on some significant changes to the UI and it is likely these will have to wait until then - in the new year.
