License and updates

Post by AFernandez »

Hi all

I am thinking about paying for the pro license of PDF-XChange Viewer but I would like to know if I'll have access (for free) to any updates you release for the program.

Thanks in advance

Updates and upgrades are free for the first 12 months , after this time there is a sliding scale of discount for upgrades after the 12 months.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks Tom

Could I check the scale of updates somewhere?

:)

Not sure what you mean by scale of updates , do you mean frequency?

Sorry, I meant if the "sliding scale of discount for upgrades after the 12 months" was posted anywhere.

Hi,

to clarify - updates are free for 12 months - orf until the nextmajor version release - which ever is the longer.

So if you own for 9 months and V3 is released you will receive this major upgrade free and all minor releases until Version 4 is released.

If you own fo say 13 months and V3 is released - this will be a chargeable upgrade and these are usually 25-30% of the full retail price for the first 12 months and then the discount deteriorates over the next 12 months to approx 25% only of the full price - so you would pay approx 75% if you leave too long - but its not an exact science and depends on what is inlcuded in the upgrades etc.

EO&E etc !

Hope that helps !
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
