Please don't flame this newbie and my super-dumb question.
I open and pdf, use the select text tool and highlight the text I want to print. I click on Print and there is no option to print only the selected text. How can I do this?
How do you print selected text.

I don't see any such option in Adobe Reader either.
You can print the current view from PDF-XChange, so it is matter of resizing the PDF-XChange window and zooming to view only the text that you want to print.

Re: How do you print selected text.
What you can do is to select the part of the page which contains required text using Snap tool, and print only this area (option "Selected graphics" on the Print dialog).
But it will all objects containted into this area.
