PDF-XChange PDF Preview Provider

Hi forum & Tracker team,

I use a file manager with a preview pane. There, the content of any file that is selected (in an explorer-like file list), are displayed. Actually the file manager is called "Dopus".

Regarding the preview of PDF files, I used to get the normal Browser View of PDF-XChange Viewer in that preview pane of Dopus. After upgrading to the latest version of PDF-XChange Viewer (including the PDF thumbnail plugin) however, I get a new, very basic view called "PDF-XChange PDF Preview Provider" inside the preview pane of Dopus:



I'd however rather have the standard browser view back, especially since there I can see the thumbnail or bookmarks pane as well as customize the toolbars I'd like to see. All of this is not possible with that very basic "PDF-XChange PDF Preview Provider".

So, is there a way to switch from the "PDF-XChange PDF Preview Provider" back to the standard browser view (without having to uninstall the PDF-XChange thumbnail plugin)?

To manual 'unregister' only Preview handler for PDF files (not from DOpus, but from all applications which supports IPreview interface), you can need to remove the following registry entries:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pdf\ShellEx\{8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f}
