Adobe index file (PDX) support

Post by marcel »

Hi,
We have an application that relies on the Adobe Index PDX files. The PDF documents contain a combination of text and scanned content. The index files allow the user to locate the correct article in the archives. This doesn't work with the PDF-XChange Viewer. Is there a way to get this to work?
Thanks.

Hi Marcel,

any chance of a (zipped) example PDF - either here or if this is private to the option in the Viewer Help -> Report a Problem'

You may also want to put a link in the report above back to this message - for reference.

Thanks
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Ok - but if confidential - you can always use the 'Report a Problem' option under the 'Help Menu' if you don not wish to post here - but please add a link back to this forum message for reference.

Hi,

It appears to be an acrobat add-in feature that's not a published standard.

There's plenty of information on the adobe website; I'll include some links:

http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/acrob ... index.html
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdf ... erence.pdf
http://blogs.adobe.com/acrolaw/2007/06/ ... ng_ad.html

It should be easy to simulate if you have a copy of Acrobat.
