Improvements for Dimension Lines

Post by Bhikkhu Pesala »

1. The line-endings (arrows, etc.) should scale with the line weight below 1 point, because they look out of proportion with thin lines. On very short lines, the arrow heads are bigger than the line length, and overlap.

2. The hairline line weight is shown as 0.0 pt in the drop down properties. Either 1 pix or "Hairline" would be more accurate.

3. Line weights of 0.1 pt and 0.2 pt could be added to the drop list too.

I agree but would like to expand this more. I wish we had more control over the arrow head size. I increase the line weight and my arrow head gets too big. Sometimes this is OK but many times I need a smaller arrow head with a heavier line weight.

Yes, that would be the ideal solution. Add a scale factor for the line endings.

For it to work, the line-endings would need to scale from about 10% to 500%

It is almost impossible - by PDF specification the size of line endings is not specified, and is realization depended.
We are currently working to make sizes the same as in Adobe Acrobat.
