I'm a new user of the free PDFXchange viewer. First impression is that it looks very nice, and produces better quality print than Foxit, which I'd previously used.
I use a document production system (PDFLatex) where you write in a text editor and the system converts it to a PDF. So each time you edit the document, it produces another version of the PDF file. BUT if the PDF is open in PDF-XChange, it is locked, and PDFLatex is unable to produce the revised PDF document.
Foxit viewer does allow a new version to be created and viewed. Is this possible with PDFXchange viewer?
how to reload a file?

Re: how to reload a file?
As our software provides tools for pdf manipulation it needs the lock on the file so it can ensure it is the only application "messing" with the file.
The solution to this is for you to close the file in the viewer before every export from PDFLatex (shortcut: Ctrl + W)

OK, thanks for your clear reply. So PDFXviewer is no good to me for most of my work. Back to Foxit viewer.

Re: how to reload a file?
One more solution: run PDF-XChange viewer with command line:
pdfxcview.exe /close <filename>
pdfxcview.exe /close <filename>

Re: how to reload a file?
Thanks for your suggestion , but it tould be too much work to implement this - wd mean changing macros or batch files in my Latex setup. Easier for me to revert to Foxit. If it had been just a case of changing an option in your product, that would have been OK.
