A new way for highlighting a word, sentence, or a paragraph.

Post by cscat »

Hi,

When you double-click on a word, as a great feature, you can select "Add Note" to have a note right on the place of that word. A complement could be to have "Highlight this", so that the whole word is highlighted. The problem I have with the way now it work, i.e. to drag on beginning of word then move right and drop at the end, is that my hands flicker and hence I can't highlight the word precisely!

Moreover, it'd be nicer if when you triple-click the sentence containing "THIS" word, the whole sentence be selected and then you can right-click and "Highlight this" it! When you double-double-click a whole paragraph is selected and so forth...

Thanks for a marvelous software,

Triple and quadruple click to select a sentence or paragraph are pretty clumsy methods that soon lead to RSI.

Try this: click at the start of the sentence/paragraph, hold down shift and click at the end of the sentence/paragraph.

The method used by Wordpad is good, but I doubt if that is easy to program in a PDF Viewer.

In Wordpad: single-click in the left margin selects a line of text; double-click in the left margin selects the paragraph.
