Document Info is displayed wrong

I've attached a document which is created using PDFCreator ( http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator ). The document info (Author, Title, Application), however, ist displayed wrong (using Ctrl-D document properties). Acrobat Reader, both 8.x and 9, show the proper values.

Maybe some Unicode issue?

Not really. The "application" field is not editable (while showing "\376\377\000P\000D\000F\000C\...")

AND, in Acrobat Reader, all the document information is displayed properly without editing.

I'm afraid I can do nothing with this situation re: your document:

The PDF Specification says, that if there is a Document Info catalog, and Metadata info, the Document Info should be used when modification data is stored in the XMP that is older than the date in the Document Info catalog.

In your PDF file these dates are equal, so, the Viewer uses the metadata where the information which is shown - is stored.

And I don't know which criteria Adobe Acrobat uses to get information from the Document Info catalog, but its not from metadata.

Try using a different PDF Creator such as PDF XChange or CutePDF.

I've tried another PDF Tool, like Bhikkhu Pesala suggested (Freepdfxp http://www.shbox.de/). This works fine.
