CTRL+Z doesn´t work

Post by Gerdi »

After marking a word or text using pdf-XChange it seems like it is not possible to unmark it by CTRL+Z. How can I make this work?

Thanks a lot and best regards

This behavior is also important for me. Not a show-stopper, but important.

Can I accelerate the implementation of CTRL+Z by a donation?

One more question: Is it possible after searching (by CTRL+F) leaving the "search-window" at the top by pressing a certain key? I think ESC would be very good for this purpose...

By the way: Alt+"arrow left" for going back to the last viewed page is a great feature not met in many other comparable software. Thanks a lot for this feature :-)

You can close the Find toolbar (if it is floating) by using Alt F4. That will give focus back to the document. F3 will still find next, and Shift F3 will find previous. You can customise most shortcuts in PDF-XChange. Right-click on any toolbar to bring up the customise dialogue, but I don't know what command would focus the document.

Adobe Reader also uses the Alt Left/Alt right shortcuts.

Hi Bhikkhu Pesala,
how can I make my find-toolbar floating? Alt+F4 shuts down my PDF-XChange Viewer...

Just drag it into the document. You can do that with any of the toolbars.

Maybe you locked them? Check the View menu, Toolbars, Lock/Unlock all Command Bars.

Thanks for your answer. In my PDF-XChange Viewer there is no possibility to lock or unlock the toolbar (->view menue-> toolbars)

Are there maybe different PDF-XChange Viewer on the market?

There is a portable version and the standard version.

The latest build is 2.0.0041.2 although build 2.0.0041.1 is the most recent version listed on the History page (see my sig). Moveable toolbars are not new, and I doubt if the portable version stops you doing that. You can download the latest version from the top of the history page, or check for updates from the Help menu.

If you have such problems with latest build you may export Viewer settings to a file and send it to us (better via e-mail to lazycat@tracker-software.com or as an attachment to a private message) with the link to this topic.

We will the investigate where the problem may be.

But if build you have is not the latest it is strongly recommended to upgrade.
