page size with images

Post by moke@napconet.com »

IS there any way to let the new document from images command read the file information so it can determine the page size to use?

For instance a 7200x4800 image a 200dpi would be a 24x36" page size. I am concerned that the information on a document may not be accurate if the size gets changed in any way.

thanks

Ok, but what to do if there are no information about DPI into the image? Or not 1x1 layout used ?

My suggestion would be 1st look at image file settings for page size the size could be displayed in the table so user can easily see what page size is going to be used (or feed back to programer). If no data is available, dispaly unknown sheet size &/or default to letter size. At this point user can choose size options.
