javascript and events

Post by EdWin1409 »

Hi,

I´m trying to handle the 'validate' event for form elements with javascript. But there is
some weired behavior on handling this event. I use the following code on a radiobutton with 3
options :

Code: Select all

var f = this.getField("myRadioButton");
f.setAction("Validate","app.alert('Validate')");
As expected, if I change the value of this radiobutton a message box appears saying 'Validate'.

If I use the same code on a textbox, nothing happens if I change the field value and leave the
field. If I use this javascript in Acrobat Reader, every field raises the 'validate'-Event.

Can you investigate this and give me a feedback on how long it would take to fix this ?

Thanks,
Juergen

Anybody from Tracker support out there ?

I´m very disappointed about your support, it is taking too long to get an answer on a question. I´ve paid
for the SDK and so I wan't to get professional support. I´m also a programmer and so I know that it may
take long to investigate an error. But you should inform your customers about your investigations, a short
message in the forum is enough in the first step. I have to report every day to my chief what`s up with
the pdf component, any idea what I could say ? Sorry, there`s something wrong in the pdf component,
no idea when or even if it will be fixed.

Your product is placed in the professional market and so you should act. A little bit more professionalism
would be appreciated.
