PDF xchange viewer download question

Just downloaded PDF-xchange viewer, thank you. There were 2 files downloaded, the PDF.exe, and PDF_se.exe. I unzipped the PDF.exe, but not the PDF_se.exe, as I wasn't sure what the se.exe was for. What is it, and should I install it? PDF.exe seems to be working fine without it, but if you recommend I unzip the _se.exe, I will-

The _se file is for the Shell Extension. It is used to show thumbnails of PDF files in Windows Explorer. It is not worth installing in my opinion, as it can slow things down if you have some large PDF files in any folder, when viewing thumbnails in Windows Explorer. Without it installed, you won't be able to see the small thumbnails when using Windows Explorer — you will just see a PDF-XChange (or Adobe Reader icon if that is your default viewer) icon for PDF files — but you can still see the large thumbnails when using the File Open dialogue in PDF-XChange Viewer.

Hello relay,

The Shell extension also allows text searching inside those files, so depending on the volume of files it might be useful to be installed.
It's up to you and depending on your needs whether to use it or now, hence the separate file
