Session Manager

Post by helvib »

I think this has been brought up before. But I thought I would bring it to the fore again. The feature many would like to see added to PDF-XChange-Viewer is a session manager like the one FireFox uses. This session manager can open the documents that were last open in the viewer when the application is started. This can save some time and can give PDF-XChange-Viewer a competitive edge since many other document viewer also have this feature including STDViewer.

yes, that should have been released at the same time the tabs were introduced. How hard can it be to store filenames in the registry and use them to try to open those files when openning viewer?

It has been suggested more than a year ago, and promissed to be implemented in several releases.

Sad, and dissapointed ...

This feature has already been added in build 42 (turned off by default, can be turned on into preferences on General page).

Thank you. This ver.build 42.0 is in my opinion a milestone release. Although implemented Session Manager is a bit away from being as what it could be: like save different sessions, add/remove pdfs to/from an existing session,... You see any chance that this is going to be adresses in the future?

Again, great work!
Johannes

ps.: the "show all tabs" function is actually showing all open tabs, but not reacting when clicking one. confirm?
