Missing Box

The latest release of PDF-XChange Viewer (Version 2.0 Build 41.2) fails to display a box in the attached PDF file. (The box was also missing with the previous version of PDF-XChange Viewer.) Note that the box does appear correctly in both Adobe Reader and Foxit Viewer. The box should appear about half way down page 1, to the left of the words "Grace Period".

Confirmed in the latest 41.2 build.

The box is not a graphic, but a text character. Other applications that open PDF files, like PagePlus and OpenOffice3 Draw, also do not recognise the character, so it looks like some font encoding problem.

Build 41.3 doesn't fix this. Will try to do into build 42

Still not fixed in build 41.4. Looking forward to the fix in build 42, as suggested by Ivan.

Unfortunately the missing box is still not fixed in build 42, as I was informed it would be.

I just installed build 42.0 (beta) using Live Update today, and was disappointed to find that the missing box is still missing!

Any idea when this bug will be fixed for real?

I've just about given up all hope that this bug will ever be fixed. It's now 11 months and numerous releases later. As of 2.0.46, the missing box is still not displayed. Until this bug is fixed, PDF-XChange viewer is simply not in the same class as Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader in terms of compatibility (both of which do display the box correctly). However, I still do hold out some hope that this bug will eventually be fixed, because otherwise the PDF-XChange viewer is a great tool and has great editing capabilities. The problem is a fairly deeply encoded one and I apologise for the previous false hopes - we are optimistic we can provide a fix for this in Version 3 and Version 5 of our products due out in the spring - but I am afraid until then, we cannot resolve in the current versions.

Thanks much, this is now fixed, the missing box is no longer missing! Fixed in version 2.5 build 189.0. (May have been fixed in an earlier release / build -- I missed quite a few intermediate releases.)

Great news tomfuhrman,

We have added XFA support in build 2.5.188 (the one before the current) so it was not that long ago before the build you installed
