Hy,
i have an pdf with czech characters, and they are not displayed correctly.
Adobe and Foxit do it correctly.

Problem is not with characters, but with the file - it is corrupted and viewer didn't recover it.
We had put this file into our database, and will try to add routines for handling such corruption.
