Feature requests/bug reports...

Post by cyraxote »

Hi, I did a cursory search to see if these topics had been covered, but I didn't find anything.

1) As far as I can tell, when typing in a text box, characters/symbols cannot be entered using the Alt-NumPad method. (For example, in Word [and other Windows software], type Alt-0177 on the keypad numbers will give you a plus/minus sign). Is this purposely disabled?

2) If you have two PDFs open, and the focus is on the window of PDF 1, pressing the "next page" arrow button in the other window (PDF 2) will change the current page in the window that has focus. (Does that make sense?) It seems to me that pressing any button in the nonactive window should give that window focus and only then should the page be advanced. Or is this a Windows issue?

Great software. Dumped Adobe and haven't looked back.

Thanks all!

P.S., I should have mentioned that this is with tabs turned off and after choosing "View Vertically" from the Window menu.

I don't think its turned off — it is just not turned on. :)
If you need to enter extended characters like ą é ā ã or symbols like © ® ™ try my PagePlus keyboard. Many special symbols are included. List of shortcuts.

A known bug. See this recent thread.

Hello cyraxote,

Thank you for reporting those bugs to us. Here are a few words for each

1) The Alt + NumPad is working in the build I have here for testing (42.3) (we are almost ready with it so it should be available to everyone soon)

2) unfortunately it could not could not be done for this build, a fix will be implemented in the next one.

Regards,
Stefan

This bug will be fixed in the next build. Maybe in 2.0.42.4 - coming soon.

Thanks for your report.
