Did you run standalone viewer after installation of new build? Or first time it was ran in the browser ?

Looks like FireFox plugin was not updated during installation. For now I cannot say why and how this happens.
Can you try to remove plugin (npPDFXCviewNPPlugin.dll) from FireFox's plugin folder
(<ff installation folder>\plugins,
e.g. C:\Program Files\Mozilla FireFox\plugins)

Please try to delete npPDFXCviewNPPlugin.dll from FireFox plugin's folder (and would be good if you will zip and send it me this .dll before removing to Ivan@tracker-software.com or attach here)

I've got the same "Demo Verision" message after updating to the latest build.
Of course, it was very easy to disable and then re-enable display PDF in browser option (This deletes the old dll and re-installs the new one)
But for the large mass of users I believe this will be quite annoying.
And, by the way, why did you put this message there? There is no demo version as far as I know. Only Pro and Free!
Why, why, why? :(

I was getting a similar error to the above but I have got rid of that by re-installing the latest build. The viewer works fine in Internet Explorer but it does not work in Firefox I am getting this error in a PDF-Xchange Viewer Control dialog box.

Error opening document C:\Documents and Settings.........\Firefox\Profiles\odkzr1h9.Default\Cache\19D77BEBd01\":Error [PDF Structure 40]: Invalid Reference Table (xref)

The viewer does seem troublesome in Firefox I have had previous problems which I have posted elsewhere. I click OK and end upwith a blank page, no .pdf displayed.

Any ideas?

Please give me an example url to reproduce this.
Also, what is the Firefox version you are using?

Thanks.

I can't give you a full explanation, but I can give you at least a partial answer. The "DEMO" version pertains to the PDF XChange Viewer SDK, the developer's toolkit for incorporating the Viewer into other applications. A developer can download and use the SDK without a license, but the DEMO message will appear on every page of a document until a license code is entered.

I guess the browser-plugin must rely on the SDK and some software glitch caused the message to appear in this case.

"Demo Version" in Google Chrome, but not in Firefox or IE. Details:

1) All three browsers already installed, working properly.

2) Install PDF-Xchange free via https://www.pdf-xchange.com/download/PDFXVwer.zip; select "Open PDFs in browser" option during install.

3) Open several PDFs with the viewer application before launching browser --> all normal (no demo message); confirm in Preferences that "Open PDFs in browser" is checked.

4) Open online PDF in Firefox --> normal (no demo message).

5) Open online PDF in IE --> normal (no demo message).

6) Open online PDF in Google Chrome --> demo message.

The installer doesn't place a copy of npPDFXCviewNPPlugin.dll in the Chrome directory, so I manually copied the one from the Firefox plugin directory to the Chrome directory. I confirmed that there are only FOUR copies of the DLL on my machine:
- PDF Xchange install directory.
- Firefox plugins directory.
- Mozilla Thunderbird plugins directory.
- Chrome directory.

The plugin works everywhere except Chrome. Any suggestion for getting it to work in Chrome? (If the only suggestion is to use a different browser, I'll have to switch back to Foxit.)

Thanks for your help.

Problem confirmed. Will be fixed into the next release.

You don't need to copy the plugin into the Chrome directory - Chrome looks for plugins in the registry.

infimum,

Not with this build unfortunately. As discussed above in the topic this is a bug on our side, that has been corrected and we are currently actively testing the new build that will soon (if we are satisfied with test results) be available to fix it.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Updated PDF XChange, now DEMO Version if I view pdf in Firefox 3.5.3.
I deleted the npPDFXCviewNPPlugin.dll and reinstalled PDF XChange, but it does not solve the problem, still DEMO Version in Firefox, IE 8 works.

My Setup:
Windows 7 Professional 32Bit
Firefox 3.5.3

All Software uptodate.

Support team, do you need the dll file?

Thanks for support.

Best regards

Hello manuels,

and thank you for offering the dll, but the problem seems solved at this moment, in the build I have tested.

Please bear with us as we are finalizing the tests. The new build with the fix should be released really soon.

This issue was addressed and corrected in the next build 42.5. We are now onto build 42.9 so I would suggest down loading the latest version as this has been corrected.

Thanks,
Chris
