Post by dianab »

Sometimes I want to rotate the text or text box 45 or 90 is this possible?
I tried to search but didn't see what I was looking for.

There is no need to shout.

Its not possible to rotate text by 45° but 90° can be done. Rotate the page view, create the text object(s), and rotate the page view back again.

Hi Diana,

Objects with dynamic rotation are not yet implemented though a planned future feature.

But you can do 90 and 180 degree rotated annotations by using Document->Rotate Pages, choose the page you want to rotate and select the angle you want the rotation.

Place your annotation, and then Documents->Rotate Pages again, choose the page and rotate it back the opposite way.

Then the annotation will remain rotated on the page.

Hope that helps,
Chris

Sorry if I typed in all caps it was just an oversight. I use CAPS to work in most of the time

Thanks for the tip I will try this. I appreciate all of the help and I refer lots of people to the program and encourage them to get the full version! Support is the best thing about this software!!!!

And it does remain rotated! Genius touch :) Saved my day. Just registered to say thanks, other workarounds were not so perfect as this one. AMAZING piece of software, the typewriter mode is absolutely fantastic. Thanks for the hard work.

Hi Boise12345,

Text (and other objects) rotation is available in the PDF-X Editor.

Does this "Editor" just add features to my current pro 4 program? I need the rotation features and will buy right away. I just don't want to have to use two different programs

Hi Boise,

for the time being you would need to use both Editor and Viewer to have all the features of both. Very soon however the Editor will have all the features of the Viewer so in less than a few months you will need only the one.

Also your Viewer license should you buy one will also unlock the Editor.

I hope that helps.
