when I start PDF veiwer or when it is launched by clicking a PDF file, the blue splash screen appears immediately followed by an error message
"PDFXCview.exe - NO DISK"
"There is no disk in the drive.
Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddrive1/DR1"
there are three buttons "Cancel, Try Again, Continue"
clicking anyone of these allows the program to continue
PDFXCview.exe - NO DISK error message at launch

Re: PDFXCview.exe - NO DISK error message at launch
Hi,
Are you using the portable version of the 'Installed' version and also please advise which verison of Widnows is being used ?
what would also be very useful is if you could provide a support ticket as offered under 'Help -> Report a Problem' in the Viewer itself - but this does rely on you using a compatible email client.
Thanks

Re: PDFXCview.exe - NO DISK error message at launch
John,
I don't think I'm using a portable version
I was using Vista (aaaaaaargh !)
then upgraded to win7, same problem
BUT
I completely uninstalled
and reinstalled
and now no problem
amazing how that works !
Thanks for your response, anyway
it's nice to know there is support out there
Regards
K

Re: PDFXCview.exe - NO DISK error message at launch
Hi Kashga,
excellent news that all is now working and yes - its amazing how uninstalling/re-installing can help - hard to see sometimes why it would, but it often does.
Anyway - all's well that ends well
cheers
