What is the correct way to Digitally Sign a Document, and have it save with maximum document security settings applied?
ie. No content copy, no edit etc.
Is there a "preference" for defaulting the document security settings on the save-as prompt that appears, when document is digitally signed?
Jay.

Re: Document Security Settings with Digital Signatures?
Hi Jay,
Not quite sure what you mean by the 'correct way' to digitally sign a document - the method is in your hands and depends on whether you have an official Digi Sig certificate issued by one of the security bodies such as Verisign or Thawte, Comodo etc - and I suggest you research this as its a very broiad topic - you can just create your own certificate on your PC - but it then carries only limited weith with your intended audience - so its your desired purpose and the seriousness of your intent as to what lengths and expense you wish to go to in this regard.
Please view the hellp file topic on this matter as to specifically using Digi sigs - there is no way to apply automatically with each save - you must do this each time and palce the signature in the required location on the page/file.
Further document security and digital signatures have no direct techniucal or feature specific relationship other than the obvious natural one and you can set the document security settings as required using the option : File Menu _> Document Properties -> Security and ensure you set a diferrent password for the options to Open a document (if required) and to change permissions when applying the properties - they should not be the same.
further if you allow printing - note you are effectively removing all security as anyone can then reprint the document to a new PDF using any virtual print driver and remove the security settings etc.
Hope that helps
