PDF XChange Viewer. How do you insert text?

Post by HMM »

Hi
I've not used this kind of software before and need to know how to insert text. I have seen an example where it comes up as a blue 'inserted text' box but I can't find where to create this.
Many thanks

Hello HMM,

If you have a document with Form Fields prepared and ready in it pressing the light bulb for "Highlight Form Fields" will do exactly this - colour all places where you could click and start typing in blue.

If the document does not have such forms however you can use our Typewriter tool - located in the toolbars area by default located over the main document window in our Viewer. Simply click it with the mouse then click over an opened document and start typing :)

Stefan

Hello kwstas,

There are numerous settings that can "secure" a document.

Certain documents might be secured so that you can not print them,
others might be printable but only at low resolutions,
while others might be protecting their content and not allow you to modify it.
(It's possible to have all those restrictions in a single document and some more)

Depending on what security restrictions there are on a given file you would have different set of tools active and available in our Viewer.

Regards,
Stefan

p.s. Also the topic is in the wrong forum - I am moving it to the correct one.
