I know how to insert a yellow highlight for text that is already in the PDF--I just click on the T with a yellow background, and then highlight the text I want. But I can't figure out how to make the notes that I enter using the "typewriter" function, also yellow. I have tried selecting them and then clicking on that yellow T, reversing the order--nothing seems to work.
How do I get my own, typewritten comments also to have a yellow background?

Display the Properties Toolbar, and set the fill colour from the first button.
Note that you have to select the Text Object to do this — in text editing mode you can format the text, but not the object.

Re: Background color for "typwritten" notes
Thanks a lot. I can't believe how highly customizable this PDF viewer is. This is insane.
I do have one more question. When I made my text yellow, it was too light, so I made it boldprint as well. Is there a way to make any print with the typewriter, to be boldprint and/or yellow, by default, instead of having to edit my comments? If not that's ok this is still very very nice. Just asking.

Right-click while editing the text and set the current text formatting as the default from the text formatting submenu.

That does it. Man that saves a lot of time for me--I made my default font gold, with 14 pt font and boldprint. This makes my own notes very easy to see when I'm quickly scanning a page--they jump out at me. Still can't believe how customizable this program is.Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:Right-click while editing the text and set the current text formatting as the default from the text formatting submenu.
