Form Textbox Fields - Highlight, Strikethru...not working

Form field textboxes that contain text do not allow any of the text manipulation tools to work, i.e. highlight, underline, strikethru, etc.

This is certainly the area of the PDF where you would want to use such tools. Is this by design or is there a work-around for this.

Its not by our choice John - but part of the Adobe specification for the format - which as you may be aware is rigid if you wish to maintain compatibility and conformity - which we always do.
