I have tried to change the default font for Typerwriter tool in Version 2 PRO, but the "set current appearance as default" link in greyed out when the Text Formatting toolbar is visible. I've read the help manual over & over and I'm confident I've followed the instructions to a tee. I have PDF-XChange Viewer installed on two computers and both have this problem.
The fill color, stroke color, etc CAN be reset via the instructions in the manual, however, the font will NOT reset.
Any advice or tricks I'm missing. VERY frustrating. Thanks!!!

I think you didn't read the instructions on page 118dramama wrote:I have tried to change the default font for Typerwriter tool in Version 2 PRO, but the "set current appearance as default" link in greyed out when the Text Formatting toolbar is visible. There are two different sets of properties for text objects: the text properties and the text object properties. While editing the text properties the text object properties are greyed out. Right-click in the text, open the Text formatting submenu, and set the current text properties as the default.Important! Please read!
All of the Comment & Markup Tools have one thing in common: they each support TWO different Properties screens; one for the "contents" and a common one for the "container".
1) If you right-click on a container, you will get the common container pop-up menu:
2) To access the Contents Properties pop-up, you must first double-click on the contents inside the container. Each tool has its own contents properties, and will be discussed with the tool.
The menu is shown at the bottom of page 126 in the manual.
7) Text Formatting opens the following submenu of formatting options:
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, 8 Gb

Duh... I tried to change the text default MANY times and overlooked the "Text Formatting" option half-way down the menu every time. THANKS! All's well.
