Hello Yu,

The login name is taken from the user account with which you logged in to Windows, and this is the reason you can not modify that.
You can change the Name below and when you do so the name (rather than the login) will be used when creating new annotations.

Best,
Stefan

Thank you,

I wish the 'Login Name' had not been used by design as it can be just very different from the actual (or intended) name of the user. At least, I strongly hope, you consider either letting this filed go or make it up to the user decide as to what what should go where. Nonetheless, I am happy to have bought PDF-Tools 4 and associated software. I wish you every success along the way.

Hello Yu Moto,

Glad that you like our products and let me explain why we will not change the behaviour you see there now.

The user can leave all information fields empty when installing our Viewer but we need to have at least one, preferably fixed/static, name that can be used if no other info is available - the creator info is mandatory for annotations and if you have not filled any personal details during install we would not have anything else to use.
Once you populate the other fields the login name is no longer used - so it will not interfere in the future.

Best,
Stefan
