i open the PDF file,
i click on toolbar onto "Fit width" zoom button
Really, to read the book that is usual option.
Then i click on the Bookmarks sidepanel to jump into specific part of the book.
It jumps, yet zoom is reset to "Fit whole page", which is usable for overlooking the page. but not read it.
zoom settings reverted, when clicking on bookmark

Re: zoom settings reverted, when clicking on bookmark
Hello Arioch,
If you don;t already have the latest build of our Viewer please update:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-viewer
Then launch the viewer, and go to Edit -> Preferences -> Page Display
At the bottom there is a setting that will allow you to override the zoom factor in a bookmark so your reading would be much more smoother.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: zoom settings reverted, when clicking on bookmark
thanks.
however i cannot understand the reasoning behind default mode, when "go to" via bookmark, ink, etc reset user-customized zoom.
To me it looks like mixing completely orthogonal notions.

Re: zoom settings reverted, when clicking on bookmark
Hello Arioch,
By PDF Specification the bookmark can carry a zoom level information - e.g. when the bookmark wants to take you to the bottom right corner of page 17 where there is a note written with Font size 5
, but over 90% of the bookmarks are just taking you to a section on a new page and modifying your zoom factor is not necessary - yet some documents do add this zoom factor to each and every bookmark.
That's why we introduced the "override" setting as it is now.
Best,
Stefan

Re: zoom settings reverted, when clicking on bookmark
hmm, i'd say then zoom override should be a property of a note, not of a bookmark
okay, may you make this behaviour non-determined ?
Let wait until 1st such a bookmark be met in real, then ask user what does he want.
Just a usual "never show again" dialog.
