Pencil Tool

Post by tdf »

Hi all,

I've got a question regarding the Pencil tool. I use the PDF X Change Viewer on a Tablet PC for writing comments into pdfs.
When I like to add an additional comment close to an existing one, the older comment is selected. So instead of writing a new comment, the older one is moved away, because as soon as I come close to an existing item, it is selected even so I have choosen the pencil tool.

Is there any possibility to switch off this "auto-select" function?

Thank you for your answer.

Best Regards,
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

If you hold down the Shift Key the older already existing object would be "ignored" and you will be able to start your drawing.

Hello Stefan,

thank you for your fast response. As soon as I press the shift key all older elements are ignored.
Is it possible to adjust the "pressed shift key" behavior as default?

Thank you again,
Thomas

Thanks Katya,

that's what I was looking for. I need an update before I could use this function. However it works fine.
Thank you!
