I'm having a bit of an issue with the comments feature. When I comment on a document, it lists the date. However, as soon as someone modifies it (including just moving the comment icon to a different location on the page) it changes the date to the current day. Is there any way to track changes or prevent the dates on prior comments being changed? I need to be able to track the response time from various people and departments, and right now I can't seem to do that.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello LPEGG,
The date you see on all comments is the "modified" date - there is also a creation date visible in the properties, and you can probably adapt to use those two.
If you do not want any changes to the document at all - you can restrict it using the security settings available in our Viewer.
You could also ask them to just sign the document after adding the comments.
You can create in-house certificates, so there is no need for third party paid for services if this is the only use you will have for those certificates, and will provide you with an easy way to see if a document has been modified after certain point in time.
Best,
Stefan

Re: PDF XChange PRO comments
Hi Stefan, thanks for the info! Unfortunately, the properties on the comments don't give the creation date, it just says "Indeterminate". Is there any plan in the works for a 'track changes' feature in a future release? It would be highly useful for collaborative documents, or ones that have to travel through a lengthy process.
