Editing font size/style

I'm lost on this one. How does one change the font size (or style) of already typed text (typewriter)? The font part of the toolbar disappears when I click in entered text. A search in Help comes up blank. Thanks,

Btw, I tried changing the default font size while in a document and it wouldn't hold between typed text until I closed the application and reopened it. Is that normal?

To modify the text style of somthing typed already - you must click inside the typewriter box 'select' the text by holding the left nouse button down and dragging across it.

you can then modify the properties - or set the default text style to be aplied.

Ok, one has to double click inside the existing text. Wish I could modify that and get that toolbar view up front on a single click.

You might want to look at the current Cloud Tool discussion. One way you can select all of the text in a box is by pressing the Enter key while the box is selected.

and just so you know, the reason you need to click again is because the first click selects the object itself where you can modify the object properties and the second click as you point out gives focus to the text which is really a part of the object itself.

Yes it does. Instead of going one by one, is there a way to modify the type size/style for all the user's objects/entries (e.g., via Typewriter)? I tried holding the Control and Shift keys, but neither did it.

If I understand you correctly you want to change the style of all or at least several comments at the same time. I don't believe there is a function to do that at present, though I have pointed this thread out to the development team who are working on the new version of PDF-XChange Viewer, perhaps something along these lines can be introduced in a later version.

Do bear in mind that this is not a promise to deliver the feature but a commitment to look into it seriously.

Every app has its own terminology. My typical use of the Typewriter function with a PDF is to fill out a form, e.g., name, address, etc. Are those considered "comments?" Thanks,

By PDF specification all those (Typewriter, Text Area, shapes) are described as annotations, so yes using "comments" to call them is correct

Thanks. Being able to edit the features of multiple objects and comments at once always struck me as a no-brainer, so I figured the reason it's not there had to do with something about the programming of PDFs, or at least those we pick up after the creation stage from others.

Being able to select and manipulate multiple annotations is planned for ver3 of our Viewer, which is still in development so once ver3 is released such operations would be possible.
