Download-URL for updates

Hallo!

Because of security reasons we desided to disallow all "normal" clients to download executeable files, except from known URLs. Is the download URL of PDFX always the same ("http://c1236872.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/...")?

Hi Michael,

No, this is not a static url but a cloud link attached to https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip which is the literal download link for the latest Viewer installer. The cloud will use various url's while serving the files for download.

We have a European server with a static url and serve the latest released installers from there as well.

http://www.docu-track.co.uk/PDFXVwer.zip, this may simplify your situation.

Hi Michael,

The Static URL for liveupdate is: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/liveupd ... teList.xml, the files are then physically served from this URL:

https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip as I stated and which is delivered from the non-static cloud repository.
