Hi,
First post here, although I've been using the excellent PDF-XChange Viewer for a long time.
Is it possible to open a PDF at a specified page please? (Iinstead of the page being viewed when it was last closed.)
For example, can I append something to a shortcut like this
C:\Docs\My PC Library\User Guides\MAGIX\MEP16 Plus Manual.pdf
to get page 156 viewed immediately?
Or perhaps with an entry in the XP Run box, or at a command line?

Re: Open at specific page?
Hi terrypin,
you can send the page number you wish to open at in the command line. Take a look at pages 16~18 of the PDF-XChange Viewer manual. They describe the command line switches available. On page 17 is are details of the /A switch that can be used for opening at a specified page:
General usage: PDFXCview.exe [command] [filename1] [[filename2] [… [filenameN]]]
/A is defined as: /A "param=value [¶m2=value [&...]"
/A
page=<page_number>
zoom=<scale>[,<left>][,<top>]
view=<keyword>[,<position>] Fit FitB FitH,top FitV,left FitBH,top FitBV,left
viewrect=<left>,<top>,<right>,<bottom>
pagemode=bookmark|thumb|none
An example from the manual: PDFXCview.exe /A "page=10&zoom=200,,500" mypdffile.pdf
All this is available through The Viewer help menu "Help --> Contents"
If you want to specify a particular page to open to every time you can set that within the Viewer by changing the document properties:
File --> Document Properties --> Initial View --> Layout and Magnification --> Open to Page [page number]
Do note that if you have selected in your preferences the option to restore last view it will over-ride the document properties page number.
I hope this helps.
