Request for auto-scroll
Being that this software is frequently used by me to read documents several hundred pages in length, has anyone ever asked for an auto-scroll feature with a variable speed control?

Re: Request for auto-scroll
Auto-scroll feature is deferred for the next major build. By the way, into the build which will be available in days (42.5) you will be able to use middle-click for scrolling (distance between click position and mouse position affects scrolling speed).

Hi,
Notice this thread is about a year old...
Am using the 2.0 version of the reader.
Does the later version include the auto-scroll tool?
cheers

Hi leach jabes,
It has been implemented, you can download and install the latest version of the Viewer.

Enjoy,

Is a feature only for the full pro version?
I've tried the download, but couldn't find it anywhere in the tools.

Re: Request for auto-scroll
Hello leach jabes,
The Auto Scroll might also depend on your mouse driver settings.
MY mouse is set up with "zoom" as the default action for clicking the middle mouse button (wheel), but I can change that to AutoScroll, and then it works in the Viewer as expected.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Request for auto-scroll
I use one of those pointer type mouses (aka: toshiba libretto), so don't have a middle click function--but
I cannot find AutoScroll in the tools menu, nor even in the
help menu, at all.
(am now using ver2. build 56)

Re: Request for auto-scroll
Hi Jabes,
Well the ball that you rotate to position your mouse can also be clicked - then this might be considered as your middle button.
In any case, it's somewhere in the driver settings for your mouse in windows and not in our Viewer - my screenshot above is from my mouse drivers as I access them through Windows.
Best,
Stefan

Hi Jabes,
I am afraid that I can be of no help here. I don't have such a device to test, and can't recall to have ever used one.
But you could always try to dig through some forums, and do some online search - there are probably other people that have experienced the same problem as you, and found a solution/workaround.
Best,
Stefan
