Text select tool in version 2.5.188

Hi,

In the new version 2.5.188 of PDF-Xchange Viewer I can no longer use the select tool. It just does not select anything. Re-installing version 2.057 solved the problem for me. Has this function been disabled in the new version?

You cannot use the text selection tool for all documents or for one document only?

the tool is always shown and enabled (it seems), but it does not select anything. I will send an example file.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for the links. However my problem occurs with PDF files containing text that I generated with PDF Creator 1.1.0. In PDF-Xchange Viewer 2.057 it was possible to select text in these files, but in 2.5.188 it isn't. I have sent an example file to Vasyl.

We have investigated your example document and found some issues in the document content. The information about embedded fonts is incomplete. We will add special workaround for this case in our code. Thanks for your report. The fix will be available in the next build.

BTW, there is no more need for me to have this workaround. I just bought PDF-XChange Pro. Excellent software. But I guess others still may want this.
