Version 2.5 BETA
I really like the look of the latest update.
The one thing I noticed was the close button on the navigation panes is cut off a bit. See attached screen shot.
I wanted to lighten the area where the navigation tabs show up and did not seem to find a way to do it. I changed the background style and color and that helped a little. Is there a way to adjust that area's color? See attached screen shot.
The BETA version seems to be working fine so far. These are just cosmetic issues.
Thank you.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
Updated OK from check for updates.
Ask Toolbar was installed without asking for permission. If you want to lose customers, that's one of the surest ways to do it. Doesn't affect me, as I use Opera, not Firefox or IE, but most users will be turned off by this.
If you must have this to get some revenue, make it optional.
For others caught out by this, go to Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, scroll down to Tracker Toolbar, and remove it.
I won't be recommending anyone to update from version 2.0.57 unless this is made optional or removed entirely.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
I installed on the laptop and the desktop. I remember all of the boxes being unchecked on both computers for the toolbar. Using control panel I see no evidence of a Tracker Toolbar having been installed. Using Firefox 3.6.12.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
I double-checked.
I uninstalled PDF-XChange and reinstalled buidl 2.0.57
I checked for updates and ran the install.
I saw no option dialogues and the toolbar was installed, and a desktop icon.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
I updated to the 2.5.188 with the updater on both my desktop (Win 7 64 bit) & laptop (Vista 32 bit) & the Ask toolbar was not included in the desktop upgrade but was on the laptop. Uninstalling from the toolbar itself was problematical but I uninstalled from the control panel.
Another thing that I noticed was that there were two PDF XC files in the control panel, the last stable release (I have been using PDF XC about a month) & the new one. I uninstalled the old one from my desktop & the whole PDF viewer was removed!
So I had to download from the main page again, no sign of a toolbar.
It's a nice PDF Reader though, I'd rather use it than Adobe anyday.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
Maybe the difference is I downloaded the zip file and installed 2.5 over 2.0.57 that way. I did not update from within the program.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
Looks like problem is because I had enabled silent mode for installation from Live Update. Will remove it nowI checked for updates and ran the install.

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
Downloaded new version. Are the items I started this thread with just on my machine? I have the fonts at default size so that is not the problem with the close button. Is the background supposed to remain a gradient if you change the background style? See attached screen shot.

Yes, it is by design.>> The one thing I noticed was the close button on the navigation panes is cut off a bit.
Yes, gradient is turned on by default and there is no available option to turn it off. Will add in the next build. Is the background supposed to remain a gradient if you change the background style?
As I understood, you are trying to make background pure white ?

Re: Version 2.5 BETA
The close icon on the panels is getting cut off (bookmark, thumbnails, etc.). Are you sure this is the way it should be. The icon looks out of place. See attached.
I am not trying to get the navigation tabs area to white. Just closer to the menu bar and toolbar colors. It seems like the gradient keeps it from letting me lighten it very much.
Thanks.

Yes, I'm sure - these close buttons are not 'cropped' - their look as was designed. The close icon on the panels is getting cut off (bookmark, thumbnails, etc.). Are you sure this is the way it should be. The icon looks out of place. See attached.
About the navigation tabs area - we had added an option to turn off gradient. This option will be available in the next build.
