Highlighting in version 2.5 makes giant ellipses

I just updated to version 2.5, Build 188.0, dated November 25. Following update, when I highlight a line of text the highlighting appears as an ellipse rather than a highlighted line of text. The vertical height of the ellipse is about half the length of the highlighted text. Also, possibly randomly or following clicking to highlight on a non-text area, highlighting becomes unresponsive, as does text selection and sometimes drawing. (I have reverted to the last stable version, as the current version is nearly unusable). Also, the integrated "Report a problem" feature attempts to use the Exchange server, which I don't happen to have set-up on this laptop (so the response I originally composed was lost and unable to send). I'm using a Dell Latitude E6500 laptop running Windows XP.

We are aware of a problem with the highlights inthe latest build, but what you describe with those ellipses is something I encounter for the first time.
If you still have a sample file with this can you please archive and attach it here (or if sensitive send it to suport@tracker-software.com) and we will have a look.
