Hi,
Obviously output files of pdf-exhange viewer are in the latest pdf version (1.5) . Now I got a reply from people who said that they were unable to read my pdf files and asked me to convert them into an older version (1.4) . Is there a way to do so?

I don't believe you can change that in the Viewer. If you have the PDF-Xchange print driver you can specify what version to be compatible with when creating the document, from V1.3 to 1.7. You would need to runb the file through this printer to get this and there may be features that are not supported in V1.4 so I'd suggest you test it out firts.
