dark gray background

We had this problem reported before release 2.5 and it's not fixed.

We have PDFs where some pages show uo with a dark gray background.
Acrobat does it ok

The latest sample actually opens fine for me.
There is a map of Europe on the background, and some handwritings on top of some printed text - but everything is quite readable.

I cannot reproduce the last case too. Please check with latest build (189) if you have older one.
Also, let me know which color depth is on your screen: 256 colors, 16-, 24- or 32-bits ?

Dear Ivan,

I've enclosed the settings from my machine.
On this machine I've the strange color effects - originally we had them on customer PCs (XP) where they also still exist.
We also tried it on other machines here and the PDF is ok - very strange
I have a 32-Bit display and also tested it with 16-Bit - problem stays the same.

I know that nearly impossible to find.

Confirmed that I can also see the same incorrect rendering for your initial sample in build 190.
We are still unable to reproduce it with your last sample, but I feel that fixing this for the rest will resolve it for your latest file as well.

The devs are still working on the ticket, so we will post again when there is any further info.

It seems OK on my 32 bit XP machine. I haven't a 32 bit Win 7 handy to test on. Can you think of anything else that would help us reproduce this? We are working on the first issue as Stefan mentioned but if we cannot reproduce the issue for the latest document I don't know what we can do to fix it.

Any thoughts on what we should try?

Hi Paul,

I've no further idea too.
I just talked to the customer where we see problem (besides our own machines).
They also have the color issue sometimes (on XP 32-Bit machines).
But the major issue are the gray shades - the users are more and mroe complaining.

If you can fix this please do so. If you can't find the color issue we cant do anything about it
