Crash with 64 bit version
I have been using PDF-XChange Viewer for some time without problems on an XP system. I recently needed to buy a 64 bit W7 Home Premium system, downloaded and installed the latest version of XChange viewer and have this problem: If I open only one pdf document, and then close Viewer, the document disappears but I have a blank blue window that won't go away unless I use Task Manager to shut it down. If I shut it down that way, I cannot use Viewer until I reboot. If I open two or more documents (I often do) the problem does not occur. If I mark up the document the problem does not occur. Which document I open does not affect the problem. Most documents I work with are 20 pages or less. Any thoughts?

Re: Crash with 64 bit version
Hello ComWebUser,
Can you please confirm the exact build of our Viewer you are using?
You can check it in the Viewer itself in Help -> About
Also tell us which is the antivirus you have on your machine.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Crash with 64 bit version
2.0 Build 57.0
The problem existed since I first installed PDF-XChange Viewer in the new computer, which would have been 2.0 Build 54 I think
Microsoft Security Essentials is my antivirus
Thank you

Re: Crash with 64 bit version
I apologize for not checking this sooner, but I normally am running with W7 Speech Recognition on (set to autostart), and if I turn this off, the problem does not occur. This does give me a work around, but if you can correct this (after verifying of course) I would appreciate it. Thank you for your support.

Hi ComWebUser,
Thanks for the input, we will test again with speech recognition to see whether we can reproduce this.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Crash with 64 bit version
I am reposting now because the apparently obscure bug is resolved with a recent windows update and possibly your recent software update. I appreciate your support efforts and I continue to recommend your products to my friends and business associates.
