I'm still a little confused.
I downloaded the pdfvSDK.zip and tested it. It includes the AX version of the viewer. I'm impressed with the nonregistered deployment method.
I did the product selection wizard and ticked everything I needed which told me that SDKTools had 100% of what I needed.
There is STOP PRESS notice on the Tools SDK product page which says the viewer is included and when you jump to that product page, it also talks about the AX version being full featured etc.
Now I do want the AX version. I don't mind the branding.
But when I download PDFT4SDK.zip and installed, I do not see the ax files, and only samples which appear to be based on the simple dll version only.
So is the AX version included in the tools SDK? I want to distribute to only 50 desktops in this case.
thanks Alan

Re: DLL and AX version in SDK Tools
Hello Alan,
The "Stop Press" and "includes" are in terms of licensing.
So this means that if you purchase a license for the PDF Tools you will receive a license for the Viewer AX SDK as well. (with a limited distribution of 2500 CDLP).
Otherwise the Viewer SDK product itself is separate, you still need to download the pdfvSDK.zip, and use the files provided in it.
Best,
Stefan

Thanks for that. and can you confirm then, that my end users will not need an additional desktop license of some kind?

Re: DLL and AX version in SDK Tools
Hi alanmcd,
once licensed the PDF-Tools SDK gives you the right to deploy your ViewerAX enabled application to 2500 desktops. We require no further licensing from your end users. Once you exceed 2500 deployments we expect you to purchase additional seats or CLDPs (Client License Distribution Packs) as we call them.
When you buy the PDF-Tools SDK you will automatically receive a serial key and dev code to unlock the SDK. The Viewer component, which as Stefan pointed out is separate download requires it's own download and install, is a little different from our other products in this respect in that you are required to fill out and sign a license agreement specifically for the Viewer. Once we get that we raise for you a second serial that is specifically for the Viewer. You put this key in your code and pass it to your app. The end user need not do anything regards licensing from us.
