OLE Error When Cancelling PDFA Warning Dialog

Post by jeffp »

I'm getting an "OLE Error 821301F4" after clicking on No to the PDFA Warning Dialog that pops up when saving changes to a PDFA document. I don't think this error is specific to the PDFA warning dialog. I believe I've seen it in similar contexts.

Note that this is only happening if I launch the saving from a button or menu in my application. That is, my save button calls your ViewerAX save function. However, if I click on your save button or menu item, this error does not happen once No is selected from the warning dialog.

Seems like some kind of embedded ActiveX control issue. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi Jeff,

This error code returned by save command and means "user break" - the user cancelled the 'save' command by pressing "No" on the warning dialog (this dialog warns that the file is "PDF/A" and saving it may spoil the PDF/A compatibility of this file). - and is therefore for you as a dev to handle the error and manage as you wish ...

Hope that helps
