Is it possible to delete page numbers from a PDF document?

I have an existing PDF file and wish to delete page numbers and other headers and footers from this file, in order that they don't interfere with exporting to a pure text file.
Is this possible as I can't find a control for it anwhere?

Nope, with the current Viewer it is not possible to delete any content from a PDF, but please have a look at this KB article on how you can "edit" a PDF.
