Hello!
We deployed version 2.0.40.7 quite a long time ago and now we need to uninstall it, but it seems there's no entry in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall so we don't know how to get the id of the package so that we can make a new msi which uninstalls the tool first...
Plus, we don't have the old original installer file of 2.0.40.7; does anybody know where to get it?

We discussed your case with the leading developer that works on the installation files, and at first he thought that you could obtain the GUID from the latest installation files (as he thought we have kept that consistent) but then he figured that as we needed to resolve some issues we are using a new GUID for each new installer build, and we do not have copies of the older build's installation files, so unfortunately we can not obtain that ID for you.
It should have been in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall and we do not know why it is not there.

Okay, we managed to uninstall it with a GUID we found somewhere... There comes the next problem: We try to UPGRADE the installation with your newest file... but it doesn't find the installed old version, so it installs side-by-side. We even edited the MSI with the other GUIDs of our old package - doesn't matter, always side-by-side.

I will speak with the same developer today, and will try to come with any advise here, although maybe it's best to perform an uninstall of this older build which does not have any information in the HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall and start afresh with the new one - this should then work and allow you to "update" with each consecutive build from here on.
