document displays properly in Adobe but not in PDF-XChange
I have a problem with some pdf files, which display properly when I open them with Adobe Reader X, but not when I open them with PDF-Xchange Viewer (latest version). These are transaction confirmation documents from my Internet bank. In Adobe everything is OK, but in PDF-Xchange there is no transfer amount indicated, in the field 'dates of transaction" and "type of transaction" I get a string of meaningless letters and so on. At the beginning I thought it was a bank problem and I even filed a complaint with my bank, then I opened the files with Adobe and much to my surprise everything is as it should be. Any ideas?

Hello mmoni,
While we understand that this is private and confidential information we will need a sample file to be able to investigate and search for a fix for this problem. So if you could please send us a sample to support@pdf-xchange.com with a link back to this forum topic, we will examine your file and not distribute or use the information in it in any way other than for our testing purposes, and then we will be able to advise further what is happening there.
Also just to confirm - the latest build is 2.5.193 and this is the one your Viewer shows when you click Help -> About, right?
Best,
Stefan

Re: document displays properly in Adobe but not in PDF-XChange
Thanks mmoni,
The issue is that the PDF file you've supplied is an XFA form, and will be supported in the next major release of the Viewer scheduled for release in quarter 2 of this year. XFA forms are based on Adobe XML Forms Architecture, and currently such forms are supported by a very limited number of PDF applications. Due to the nature of the dynamic XFA most operations in the document are disabled in the current release of the Viewer.
Best,
Chris
