- Use highlight colour as background of icon in Comments Pane (Currently it always defaults to yellow) - much like the toolbar button changes colour when the comment colour changes. It would make it easier to find differently coloured highlighted section in the Comments Pane.
- If entire highlighted text section is not fully visible on screen, the page should be scrolled so that it is fully visible when entry clicked in the Comments Pane list. Currently, the page is not scrolled if even the smallest bit of the highlighted text is visible.
- Highlight Text tool does not work across pages (ie. it just stops at the top/bottom of a page, meaning you have to start another highlight on the next/prev page, which result in multiple entries on the Comments Pane)
- If you click on Comment Pane comment, then manually scroll to different page (ie. so the highlighted text is no longer visible), then clicking on same comment Pane comment link will not take you back to the comment (ie. the page is not scrolled to bring it back into view)

Hi Defenestration,
we are in the process of creating a new version of PDF-Xhange Viewer and there will be quite a lot of changes in many aspects of what the Viewer can do. I have passed your suggestions on to the dev team for consideration. RT#925: Feature Request: : addition to flatten comments dialogue.
While this does not guarantee inclusion in the Viewer it is a committment to look into it.

Hi, Defenestration.
a) if we have white annotation - the white selection-color on the white background.
b) if we have many annotations with different colors - the often selection color changes can be some hard for eyes.
- As workaround you may turn on the option "Show Colors" in Comments List Pane.
Best
Regards.
If I understand you correctly: the color of selection box should be equal to annotation color? If yes - then we have some problems:- Use highlight colour as background of icon in Comments Pane (Currently it always defaults to yellow) - much like the toolbar button changes colour when the comment colour changes. It would make it easier to find differently coloured highlighted section in the Comments Pane.

We will some improve this feature in the next build.- If entire highlighted text section is not fully visible on screen, the page should be scrolled so that it is fully visible when entry clicked in the Comments Pane list. Currently, the page is not scrolled if even the smallest bit of the highlighted text is visible.
Same as in Adobe Acrobat/Reader. In the new version we can improve it: the text selection tool will not stop between pages but create the new highlight-comment object for each new page (by Adobe's PDF Reference - the one comment-object cannot be splitted between two pages).- Highlight Text tool does not work across pages (ie. it just stops at the top/bottom of a page, meaning you have to start another highlight on the next/prev page, which result in multiple entries on the Comments Pane)
This bug will be fixed in the next build. Thanks.- If you click on Comment Pane comment, then manually scroll to different page (ie. so the highlighted text is no longer visible), then clicking on same comment Pane comment link will not take you back to the comment (ie. the page is not scrolled to bring it back into view)
Best
Regards.

Re: A few comments re. Highlighted Text/Comments Pane
No, I mean the icon with the letter 'T' in it (ie. the same one used by the Highlight Text Tool toolbar icon.) See the attached screenshot of the Comments Pane, where the top icon is yellow, which matches the comment colour (ie. yellow), but the bottom icon is yellow when the comment itself is green.Vasyl-Tracker Dev Team wrote:If I understand you correctly: the color of selection box should be equal to annotation color?- Use highlight colour as background of icon in Comments Pane (Currently it always defaults to yellow) - much like the toolbar button changes colour when the comment colour changes. However, the Highlight Text Tool toolbar icon changes colour to match the selected colour (green in this case), as can be seen in attached image:

I didn't realise there was a "Show Colors" option for the Comments List Pane, so this will do for the time being, but it would be nice if the icon also changed colour in the comments pane.
Ah, I didn't realise it was part of Adobe's spec that comments cannot cross page boundaries. Your idea to allow selections to go across page boundaries, and to automatically create multiple comment objects is a good idea/workaround.Same as in Adobe Acrobat/Reader. BTW, I tried attaching the screenshots using the forum's upload attachment feature, but it doesn't allow .png or .jpg file extensions. Any chance of enabling that, as it makes adding screenshots a bit easier (ie. no need to use an external service).

Hi Defenestration,
I'll let Vasyl answer the technical portions of this but I can tell you that we disallowed image uploads because it was being abused. Less than savoury content was the issue and although we police such things we would much prefer to not have to.
