Hello,
There is an OCRed document that can be viewed correctly in Adobe Acrobat but not in PDF Xchange Viewer.
I attached two types of tiles here
1. PDF: before and after OCR
2. PNG: screenshot of before and after OCR, and PDF-Xchange and Adobe comparison
The page contains an image of optical interference in a textbook, and although after OCR it is still shown correctly in Adobe, in PDF-Xchange viewer it is not correctly rendered and not viewable.
I also found that the page size has been significantly reduced after OCR:
Before: 2006KB
After: 445KB
What is happening here?
Could anyone help to examine the problem here?
Bob

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hello bob_sun,
I will leave the first point in your post - the incorrectly rendered page after OCR for the devs to investigate, but the secont one for the file size is most probably due to the fact that ABBY have reduced either the quality or the DPI of the images compared to the original scan. You have provided us with two different pages for before and after, but I believe this is the case.
Best,
Stefan

Dear Stefan,
I also believe ABBYY reduced size or resolution. I am looking forward to update on this.

Hi Bob,
In the document properties there is some information about the last application that modified this file. In our case we do include the version in this information field as well - so John could see it and tell that you have an older build.
Best,
Stefan
